Opening Ceremonies

This is, as the name suggests, where the parliamentary aspect of TUXIS begins.  Coupled with the Prorogation, this ceremony is where the real pomp-and-circumstance of TUXIS is exhibited.

The Speaker for the Session will be elected, and the Front Four will be sworn in.  There will be bagpipes. The Lieutenant Governor will read the Speech From the Throne, which has been prepared by the Premier and describes the triumphs of the parliament throughout the year.

The Opening Ceremonies occur during the first sitting of the house, and usually last about an hour.  A brief rehearsal of this ceremony will occur the evening prior.

Willingly and cheerfully doing more than that which is our duty to do.
